Christopher Homes hires Director of HUD Administration.
Candi Atkins, president of Candi Atkins Consulting and respected instructor for the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, Washington, D.C. joined the staff of Christopher Homes, Inc. in December 2007.
According to the Christopher Homes leadership, having Atkins on board fills a significant gap in its management team. Dennnis Adams. Executive Director, stated, "Candi's willingness to take this position far exceeds our hopes to locate a professional to direct our management staff in the intricacies of HUD regulations. When Candi realized our need, she very graciously and generously offered to join our team. This is an extreme example of the dedication and desire our city has seen so often of good, caring people wanting to help out in our recovery."
Atkins is a CPM (Certified Property Manager) and an ARM (Accredited Resident Manager), designations given by the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) in Chicago. She has been in property management for 37 years in many areas; conventional apartments, federally assisted and subsidized multifamily and elderly housing, cooperatives, condominiums, and commercial properties.
Atkins is the president of Candi Atkins Consulting, her own management consulting firm based in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is a respected instructor for the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, Washington, D.C. She has been a speaker annually at the AAHSA national conventions and has addressed many State Associations of Housing and Services for the Aging. Additionally, Candi has given testimony and advice in several of the past decades court cases concerning the housing industry.
Candi Atkins Consulting will continue to serve its clients through the limited services of Atkins and with the capable assistance of her daughter, Amanda Atkins. |
