Christopher Homes, Inc. is the housing agency of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Founded in 1966 with a mandate to provide affordable and decent housing in our community, the agency has grown to become the premier manager of affordable senior housing in the Gulf Coast area.
Residency is open to all qualified eligible persons in accordance with the Fair Housing Act which prohibits discrimination in housing and housing related transactions based on race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability and familial status. Residency is also in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin in any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance from HUD. Finally, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance from HUD. Christopher Homes, Inc. does not discriminate based upon age for any reason, excluding HUD program/project requirements.
